(Gazette photo) A fire at a Janesville gas station is contained to the engine and cab of a semi. Officials say the truck driver had just filled both 150-gallon tanks with diesel fuel when it caught fire about 1:30 Tuesday afternoon at the TA Express in the 3200 block of Highway 14. The driver had pulled forward and left the truck idling, with the trailer’s back end still at the edge of the pump area, and he went in to pay for the fuel and buy some items. Shortly after, someone ran in to say the truck was on fire. A TA employee hit the emergency pump shut-off, and firefighters responded. The blaze was contained to the cab, and appears to have started in the engine compartment. No one was reported hurt.
