(Gazette photo) A woman suffering a medical emergency crashes her car into ECHO in Janesville.
Janesville police say the woman driver was unresponsive and she was taken to a hospital when first responders arrived at 65 South High Street just after 1:30 Monday afternoon. She was the only person injured.
The red Cadillac struck barrels that were on the terrace along West Court Street before hitting another car, knocking over a fire hydrant and hitting a corner of the brick-and-stone building.
The Janesville Fire Department says the building suffered some structural damage but was deemed safe by Janesville building inspectors.
The second car had minor damage.
The fire hydrant that was struck will need to be replaced.
