Police are asking the public for help in finding a man they believe fired gunshots around midnight Friday at 1951 Center Avenue in Janesville.
According to a news release about three shots were fired in the parking lot of a BP gas station.
Surveillance video suggests one of the shots was fired into a group of people.
Police believe a person seen on surveillance video firing the shots is 35-year-old Royal L. Powell.
Powell is 5 feet, 7 inches tall and weighs about 135 pounds. He is considered armed and dangerous.
Police also are trying to identify potential victims, including a male dressed in a black shirt and blue jeans.
