As concerns rise over the health and economic fall-out of the coronavirus epidemic, a local Assembly Representative questions why the legislature has no plans to hold a session to consider options for public relief. Don Vruwink of Milton says this is the time when the assembly speaker and senate leaders need to get in a room with the governor to discuss how to move forward in a bi-partisan manner. The Democrat also says we should learn something about the current outbreak and improve options for future outbreaks. One example would be to improve broadband Internet access in rural areas so students could keep up in school when needing to study remotely.
