SSM Health is trying to reduce direct contact with patients needing to pick up prescriptions.
The health provider announced it will no longer allow the public to come directly to its pharmacy/prescription center to pick up medications at both its Janesville and Monroe locations.
The company is instead offering curbside pick-up and free delivery of prescriptions starting Wednesday.
SSM Health says patients will need to call ahead to arrange a time to receive medications. The delivery service will be based on the urgency each prescription is needed.
