Trump campaign announces visit to Janesville will include public rally

The general public will have the opportunity to see President Donald Trump speak in Janesville on Saturday.
The event at the Southern Wisconsin Regional Airport was originally billed as a private campaign fundraiser, but the Trump campaign announced Tuesday night that he will also be holding a public rally as part of his appearance.
Doors will open to the public at 3:00 Saturday afternoon with the speech scheduled to begin at 6:00 p.m.
The announcement says “all attendees will be given a temperature check, masks which they are instructed to wear, and access to hand sanitizer.”
His visit comes less than a week after his son Eric Trump spoke at Diamond Assets in Milton on Monday.
Trump was previously scheduled for a campaign speech in Janesville on October 3 but postponed the event after testing positive for COVID-19.
The registration page for Saturday’s rally includes the following waiver about risk of the coronavirus:

By registering for this event, you understand and expressly acknowledge that an inherent risk of exposure to COVID-19 exists in any public place where people are present. In attending the event, you and any guests voluntarily assume all risks related to exposure to COVID-19.

Rock County is currently seeing its highest levels of COVID-19 since the start of the pandemic.
