Town of Beloit firefighters were called out to Carroll Service in the 2800 block of West St. Lawrence Avenue just before 6:00 p.m. Tuesday. Officials say firefighters found smoke coming from the auto repair shop when they arrived. The fire appears to have originated in a vehicle inside the business. Damage was contained to the area surrounding the vehicle. Total damage is estimated at about $30-thousand. No one was reported injured.
