A passer-by’s call to the fire department may have saved a Janesville family’s home. Fire officials say the family was unaware their vehicle was burning in the drive-way of their North Pearl Street residence about 10:00 p.m. Thursday when a good Samaritan called it in. Firefighters say two exits to the house were near the fire, and would have been blocked in just minutes. In the end, the home sustained only minor damage and no one was reported injured.
