The city of Janesville landfill may smell a little like smoke Friday. The fire department was called out a little before 7:00 p.m. Thursday for what was described as a brush fire. Police were the first to report black smoke could be seen rising from the landfill on Black Bridge Road. Fire crews were on scene for a little more than 2 1/2 hours.
