Drowning death on Lake Koshkonong

An Illinois man is dead in a drowning accident on Lake Koshkonong.

The Rock County rescue and recovery team was dispatched to the lake around 10:30 Monday night after receiving a report of a missing wind-surfer. Witnesses reported last seeing the man around 4:30 on the Jefferson County side of the lake and Jefferson County sheriff's deputies found the victim's car on White Crow Road on the north shore.

Rescue team members found the body of the man around 2:00 Tuesday morning offshore from the Koshkonong Mounds Golf Course.
