Edgerton man hurt in motorcycle crash

ROCK COUNTY — A 55 year old Edgerton man is hurt after losing control of his motorcycle on wet pavement.

The Rock County Sheriff's Department is investigating the accident, which was reported around 8:50 Sunday night on Highway 59 just west of Milton.

Deputies responding to the scene said they found a motorcycle lying on its side with an unconscious man lying next to it. Todd Simmons was transported to UW Hospital via helicopter and is listed in serious condition.

Reports indicate speed, alcohol, and weather were contributing factors in the crash.
