Alliant Energy has the "Help Wanted" sign out.

Alliant's John Kratchmer tells WCLO's Stan Milam show, utilities are in real need of electric power distribution workers. One-half of Alliant's workforce is currently over 55-years-old. To help ensure applicants, Alliant is joining in a partnership to support Blackhawk Technical College's Electric Power Distribution program.

Kratchmer says Alliant will financially support a second class and instructor for student's at BTC.

What do you mean not enough money. They said between $28-$35 an hour with good benefits. What more do you want??? And yes to get paid that much, you should be capable of hard work. I can't see people who sit on their behinds doing practically nothing and getting paid good money for it.

This is good news for all of the people looking for jobs in the area, and there are probably a lot of people looking. What an oportune time for people to go back to school and get the training they need for a job like this.
