A local legislator plays a part in the Johnny Depp movie, "Public Enemies", being filmed in Wisconsin.
State Legislator Kim Hixson of Whitewater doesn't plan to quit his day job yet, but he enjoyed a bit part Monday during filming at the capital. The Democrat found out acting takes time, working from 5:00 in the morning until 10:30 at night. He played the part of a reported in a hearing room at the Capital, which was filling in for Washington. The legislator is pleased with what the filming is doing for the state's economy. He says the tax breaks approved by the legislature should attract more filmmakers.
He says lots of money is coming into the state, and he even expects a small check for his professional film debut.
