Upscale Beloit restaurant has new owner

BELOIT — The Cafe Belwah is under new ownership and management.

Hendricks Holding Company, Inc. has signed a definitive agreement to acquire the assets of Beloit Restaurant LP, which owns Cafe Belwah. The transaction is expected to close later this month.

Effective May 5th, Oscar Villarreal was named the new head chef and general manager.

The restaurant will remain open throughout the transition period.

A brief news release indicates patrons can expect many exciting menu and format changes in the upcoming weeks.

The Cafe Belwah opened in March of 2002, and operates out of the ground floor of the Beloit Inn.
