Milton School District to change the way employees handle cash
The Milton School District is changing the way its employees handle money.
District Business Manager Diane Meyer says the change in policy is in direct response to thefts by a former employee. Melinda Quinn pled guilty last year to stealing $47,000 from the high school over five years. The school district is revising five policies at its Monday school board meeting.
Meyer says the new two handbooks are designed to be a reference for financial secretaries, budget managers and administrators about the proper handling of money.
