The fight is on to keep the union at Woodman's grocery stores.

Employees, union leaders, and legislators rallied in Janesville's Palmer Park Thursday afternoon to bolster support against a possible union decertification vote. Several Woodman's employees spoke publicly about their concerns, even though some say they fear termination for their union support. They say good union jobs and wages need to be kept in Janesville. Others say they are being harassed for supporting the union. United Auto Workers Local 95 President Mike Sheridan addressed the crowd saying he circulated a petition at the General Motors Plant. He says if Phil Woodman follows through, he'll feel a hurt on his business.

Earlier this year, an employee at a Woodman's Store in Madison circulated a petition to decertify the local union. The United Food and Commercial Workers Local 1473 has filed two separate charges of unfair labor practices with the National Labor Relations Board in Milwaukee.

No decision has been issued.

Woodman's is already decertified from ufcw 1473. Sheridan might want to worry about his own membership instead of getting involved with the ufcw 1473 lies.

To WCLO: You need to get your facts right. Woodman's employees didn't plan this rally, the union did. Also like I said before, we are decertified from the union now. There is no vote. If you want facts, don't listen to the union.
