Council President Amy Loasching wants to change the public comment portion of City Council meetings, so citizens with concerns not on the agenda do not have to wait until the end of meetings to voice them. The city administration performed a peer city review and the majority of those 10 cities have one comment period in the beginning of the meeting.

Loasching also suggests hosting informal listening sessions before council meetings, for citizens who might not be comfortable standing in front of the council at the regular meeting.

The council discusses the ideas Monday.
