Cell towers proposed for Beloit are expected to reduce dropped calls in the city.

The towers would be constructed on the New Life Church property on Grant Street. The US Cellular lease mentioned in the City Council's materials suggests a 25-year lease. US Cellular would replace the church's parking lot light poles with two 100-foot cell towers that would include antennas and light fixtures. US Cellular is not proposing any changes to the New Life building itself. The project is on the City Council's consent agenda Monday and expected back at the Council for a public hearing November 3.
