United Way changes funding methods

WCLO's Stan Stricker reports on new impact area funding method for United Way of North Rock County
The United Way of North Rock County is changing the way it awards funding.
United Way Vice President Janine Peterson says organizations must now submit a letter of intent on how they'll meet four newly identified community impact areas. The four areas of education, income, health, and families. Peterson says funding will also be based on community needs, rather than program needs. Another change will be a two year grant cycle, rather than one.
The deadline for the letters of intent is July 17.
