Beloit Fatherhood Initiative earns state honors

Community Action's Fatherhood Initiative program is earning accolades from the state.
Program Coordinator Lamar Pulliam says in order to help the program participants become gainfully employed, they help get child support in order, fix relationships with the mothers, find transportation to jobs and help the men with their GEDs. Pulliam says through the program the men can start work without those issues on their back.
The program won a "Governor's Excellence in Community Action" award this month.
