Beloit College lecture series investigates infant mortality
A Beloit College lecture series will focus on infant mortality this Friday.
Professor Marion Fass tells WCLO's Stan Milam Show the issue affects all of Rock County. Fass says state statistics show a baby born to an African-American mom in Rock County, has four times the chance of dying than a baby born to a white mother. Fass says Wisconsin reports the highest African-American infant mortality rate for any state reporting by race.
The "Building a Healthier Community" series is held Friday's at 12:30 in the Center for Sciences on campus.
