WCLO's Steve Benton reports Beloit is marketing some prime industrial land
BELOIT Some prime industrial land, held aside as an option in the proposed casino project, is now on the market.
Beloit City Manager Larry Arft, says the 31 acres is flat and ready for development. It's south of the city's waste water treatment plant, visible along I-39 / 90, about a mile from the highway 75 interchange, and in the city's TIF district eight.
Arft says the city's number one priority is to bring in a company that will create jobs. Arft says the city is doing some advertising and is acting as its own broker at this time. The price tag on the land is $25,000 an acre.
