Decision Time For Brewers

By Al Fagerli ( Contact )   April 10, 2008

Alright, who is the odd man out in the Brewer rotation, and the pitching staff as a whole, with Yovani Gallardo rejoining the team from a stay on the disabled list. Gallardo will be with the team this weekend in New York after a good rehab outing in Nashville Wednesday. The question is: will the team activate him right away,or wait until needed. With Yovani pitching Wednesday, you would think,if the Brewers were planning on using him the starting rotation, that he wouldn't be ready until early next week when the Brewers do have an off day Monday, before heading to St, Louis Tuesday. The weather forecast for the weekend in the Big Apple not good. One pitcher we know who is not going anywhere is the 10 million dollar man Eric Gagne. Too much invested. Then again, breaking down his contract, two blown saves equals about 370 thousand he owes the team.
