Tony and Jessica provide much needed distraction

By Al Fagerli ( Contact )   June 30, 2008

Being in the public spotlight like tony Romo and Jessica Simpson must have it's upside and there has to be plenty of downside as well. But,I will give the two credit, they did provide a much needed few days of distraction from all the lousy news around the Rock County and southern Wisconsin area of late. The plant news, layoffs, gas prices, and of course the floods all coming at us one after another. We needed to be amused for a couple of days and plenty of folks were. While fans of the two knew where they were eating, many more flocked to Riverside Golf Course to see the Dallas quarterback, and plenty of pictures via phones and the like popping up on the internet, the fans and other on-lookers,were respectful and polite. I wish Tony a good season except for the Packer game at Lambeau and I wish Jessica well in her attempt to find a niche in country music.
