Fairs and Festivals and Blogs -- oh my!

By Tim Bremel ( Contact )   July 25, 2008

First, an apology. I have not been keeping up my blog. I’ll have to work on that. However, I want you to know its not because I’m lazy. In fact, WCLO and WJVL have been so involved in the community that, frankly, blogging has just been too far down the list to get to.

Today, as I head back out the the fair tent, I just want to take a moment to thank everyone who has been so kind and appreciative of the efforts WCLO and WJVL go to in promoting community events.

To review, in the last three months, We’ve given away three major prizes - a pair of scooters, and ATV and a personal watercraft. We’ve held “beach party” remotes as we prepared to host the Beach Boys at Beloit Riverfest. We watched together as aircraft came to Rock County from all over the continent for the Southern Wisconsin Airfest. And right now, we’re giving away up to $500/day in prizes at the Rock County Fair.
Still to come is our listener appreciation day in Wisconsin Dells on August 17th and the American Heart Walks in Janesville and Beloit on August 23 and 24.

Its truly an exciting time of the year for us, busy though it may be. I hope you take the time to come out to the fair and participate in all that’s going on in our communities.

There’s been some gloomy news out there lately, and there’s no better cure than getting together with family and friends and having some quality time together.

Enjoy the remaining weeks of summer, and I promise, I’ll do a better job of keeping this blog up to date.
